DEE-FENSE! DEE-FENSE!

Once again I have scoured the world to bring you an item from our news box.
Iglesias is 1-for-13 in his last four games, and his three-run triple on March 8 remains his only extra-base hit of the month. While there's talk of Boston giving him a starting job, he remains likely to open the season in Triple-A.
I'm OK, more or less, with a no-hit shortstop if his glove is solid. The rest of the lineup is high-powered, especially if David Ortiz, Kevin Youkilis, and Adrian Gonzales return to form.

One thing I've never understood is sending a guy to Triple-A in hopes that that will get him ready for the show. At some point he has to face the real starting pitchers, and better to work out the kinks in the early going.

But, if someone is looking for an excuse not to start Iglesias, 1-for-13 is a pretty good one.
