Bard Still Wants to Start

By now you've probably heard that Daniel Bard expects to start Friday's game. He has every right to say this, especially if that's what he was told. However, yesterday was the birthday of another bard, so I thought we should ask him.
This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
Farewell, my blessing season this in thee!
See the word season there? They can be so fleeting, can't they?

After getting their first win in six games (after their longest home losing streak since 2006, I read on the Twitter) on Big Bill's birthday -- well, do you want to mess with that?

I respect Bard's determination to start. But he's all of 26 and a professional baseball player.There is time.

We've all got a job to do. Right, Will?
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.
I'm pretty sure "seven ages" was "eighth inning setup" in the original draft, but some scholars dispute this.
