CBS Boston- The Boston Red Sox have traded back-up catcher Kelly Shoppach to the New York Mets in exchange for a player to be named later now leaving the Sox with two catchers, Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Ryan Lavarnway.
Tonight the Red Sox start an important 3 game series against the Baltimore Orioles hoping to make a late season surge for a playoff spot.
