Well, the .500 Mark Is Still Attainable

Felix Doubront pitched 6 innings of 1-hit baseball to earn his first win since July 18 as the Red Sox knocked off the Rays 7-5 in Tampa.

Doubront was charged with 3 runs on just 1 hit and 5 walks; he struck out 5 in picking up his 11th win of the season.

The Rays jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the 3rd inning aided by 3 Doubront walks. James Loney singled in a run in the top of the 4th; Jacoby Ellsbury (pictured) and Dustin Pedroia each drove in runs in the top of the 5th to tie the game at 3.

Cody Ross and Ryan Lavarnway each had two hits for Boston.

At 68-81 the Red Sox can still finish at .500 for the season but they need to run the table in the remaining 13 games to do it.
