Clay Buchholz gave up 3 home runs in the 2nd inning as the Red Sox were trounced by the Yankees 10-2 in the Bronx. The win by New York, in combination with an Orioles loss to Tampa, gives the Yankees sole possession of 1st place in the American League East.
Buchholz (pictured) was punched around for 8 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks in just 1.2 innings. His record fell to 11-8 on the season.
