Sox pitchers report to Fort Myers early

According to the Boston Globe, some of the Red Sox pitchers have decided that they want a head start on Spring Training. The Globe stated that both Felix Doubront and Franklin Morales have been in Fort Myers for a week or so now. Clay Buchholz, Jon Lester, and John Lackey are expected to be joining them very soon.

New manager John Farrell will be headed down to Fort Myers on February 1st. He's expressed his pleasure with the pitchers reporting to camp way earlier than the February 12th mandatory date. Hopefully the extra effort could help to Sox pitching that struggled throughout much of the 2012 season. This is exactly what the Sox need. It's not so much the extra practice, but the extra effort. Hopefully this 'work-hard' attitude will be spread throughout the entire organization. The talent is there, they just need to head in the right direction with the proper mentality.
