Who do you like more: Santa Claus or John Farrell? Well the results are in, and apparently more Massachusetts voters would choose the Sox skipper over jolly old St. Nick.

Every so often, Public Policy Polling, the company that does the approval rating polls for major political races, releases results for polls that are a bit more whimsical than politics. On Friday, Public Policy Polling tweeted:

And followed it with this:

As this NESN article put it, “In the grand scheme of things, this means absolutely nothing, except that John Farrell is doing a heck of a job as Red Sox manager.” If anything, it shows how Red Sox fans are reacting to a great start to the season. They’re famous for clinging to first impressions and running with them (take Jackie Bradley Jr.’s start for example). I’m sure if the same poll was done about Bobby Valentine, the results would be the exact opposite.

And after such a bad series against the Rangers, it’s nice to hear some good news. As long as everyone trusts the manager, they’re bound to be up and running again in no time.
