Earlier in the month I wrote an article, citing Ken Rosenthal, about the rumored interest in free agent first baseman Mike Napoli by the Seattle Mariners. After receiving some ridicule from a reader, and the fact that Rosenthal retracted his statement, it seems the Mariners have once again set their sights on Napoli.

Yes. Again.

Here's what Rosenthal had to say on the Mariners resurrected interest in Mike Napoli,

"Well, after checking with additional sources and circling back to others, I have concluded that they are indeed “in.” And while I have no idea whether the Mariners ultimately will land Napoli, their pursuit of him makes absolute sense."

At this point I'm not sure what to believe anymore. Is this a sick game Rosenthal's playing or will he finally cry, "Wolf" for the last time?

I'm just wondering why the Red Sox haven't locked this guy up already.

Why Cher-Bear, why?!?
