Game 119 Preview: Indians at Red Sox

A pretty cool thing will happen before tonight's game between the Indians and Red Sox. Indians Manager Terry Francona, the former Sox Manager who led the Red Sox to 2 World Series Championships will be lending some support by visiting current Sox Manager and close friend John Farrell during his first round of chemotherapy treatment. Since the announcement was made late last week regarding Farrell's health, this season has quickly been put into perspective and life away from baseball has been put front and center.

On the field however, the Sox will look to bounce back from a tough loss last night to the Tribe. Eduardo Rodriguez (6-5 4.83) is on the mound hoping to move past the dreadful start he had a week ago against the Marlins. He's pitched well at Fenway as of late, as the team has won it's last 4 straight he's started at home. He'll be up against Trevor Bauer (9-9 4.35) and a very hot Indians lineup with Lonnie Chisenhall leading the way hitting .462 in his last 8 games.

Here is tonight's Red Sox lineup:

Betts(CF)
Holt (2B)
Bogaerts (SS)
Ortiz (DH)
Ramirez (LF)
Sandoval (3B)
Shaw (1B)
Castillo (RF)
Swihart (C)

Quick Hits:

- Trevor Bauer has struggled mightily since the All Star Break, going 1-4 with a 6.11 ERA in 6 starts
- Travis Shaw gets the start once again at First, he's 8/20 in his last 4 games with 3 homers
- The Sox batted an astounding .441 against the Mariners over the weekend, scoring 45 runs
