Matt Barnes ran into a 5-run speed bump in the fourth inning as the Cleveland Indians topped the Red Sox 8-2 at Fenway Park on Monday night.

Making his first career start, Barnes was charged with six runs on six hits over five innings. He walked three and struck out seven as his record fell to 3-3.

Boston took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning on Travis Shaw's fifth home run of the year; they scored again in the bottom of the ninth on an RBI single by Shaw.
