Game 158 Preview: Red Sox at Yankees

It took the Red Sox til their last week of the season to finally win 5 games in a row. A very disappointing season is coming to a close, but the youth of this team has catapulted them into 3rd place in the AL East and also destroyed the hopes that the Yankees had at snatching the division title away from the Blue Jays. Tonight, the Yankees will bring back Masahiro Tanaka (12-7 3.38) off of the DL to make one final start before the Wild Card round next week. Many expect Tanaka to be the choice for Manager Joe Girardi in the one game playoff, but only if he's healthy and doesn't re-aggravate his hamstring strain he suffered earlier this month.

The Red Sox will have Wade Miley (11-11 4.39) who is wrapping up his first season in Boston and he's looking to get a win on the road for the first time in a couple of months. He's made 7 starts on the road since early July and has a record of 0-1 with an ERA of 3.97. He hasn't had the best year of his career, but with the adjustment to pitching not only in the AL but the AL East, Miley will look to build on what he's started next season. Interim Manager Torey Lovullo goes with the same lineup tonight in the Bronx as he did in last night's 10-4 win.

Here is tonight's Red Sox lineup:

Betts (CF)
Pedroia (2B)
Bogaerts (SS)
Ortiz (DH)
Shaw (1B)
Holt (RF)
Swihart (C)
Marrero (3B)
Bradley Jr (LF)

Quick Hits:

- Alex Rodriguez hasn't homered in his last 13 games and during that stretch he's only hitting .147
- Blake Swihart had a great night last night, hitting a 3 run homer and a 2 run homer, the 5 RBIs are a career high
