Rick Porcello (pictured) surrendered three home runs as Cleveland beat the Red Sox in the opener of their four-game series 5-4 Monday night at Fenway Park.

Boston jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings off Indians starter Corey Kluber before the Tribe started to chip away at the lead.

Xander Bogaerts singled two runs home in the bottom of the first and Andrew Benintendi singled in another run an inning later.

Cleveland made it 3-1 in the fifth on a Melky Cabrera solo home run and then tied the game in the sixth on Michael Brantley's two-run homer. Greg Allen topped things off with a two-run shot of his own in the seventh.

The Red Sox put two aboard in the ninth with no one out but Mitch Moreland grounded into a force out and J.D. Martinez popped up to first. Bogaerts drove in a run with an infield hit but Ian Kinsler hit a soft fly to left to end the threat.
