Another strong outing from Chris Sale - even if it was only the Orioles - and another home run from J.D. Martinez (pictured) - again, even if it was only the Orioles - helped the Red Sox beat Baltimore 7-2 Saturday afternoon.

Sale went six innings for his third win of the year (3-7), allowing both Baltimore runs on six hits and a walk. He struck out 10, the eighth time in his last nine outings that he has reached double digits in K's.

Boston took a 3-0 lead in the top of the sixth on an RBI double by Xander Bogaerts and a run-scoring single by Brock Holt, who came in on an error.

The Red Sox added a run in the seventh on Martinez's 16th home run of the year, and then plated three more in the ninth to complete the final margin of victory.

Holt led Boston with three hits. Andrew Benintendi, Rafael Devers and Michael Chavis each had two hits.

The Red Sox go for a sweep of the three-game series on Sunday. Brian Johnson will get the start, making his first appearance since early April.
