Red Sox rotation up in the air

Are you sure it's too late to send Andrew Cashner back to Baltimore?

What exactly was it the Red Sox thought they were getting when they traded for him last month? Because whatever it was, it's probably safe to say he's not delivering.

Sunday afternoon against the Angels, Cashner didn't even make it out of the second inning, allowing three runs on three hits and five walks in just an inning and a third.

The Red Sox eventually lost 5-4 on a two-out single in the 10th inning.

Following the game, manager Alex Cora indicated that “We’re not in a good spot, so we’ll sit down tomorrow and we’ll see how we’re going to map it out. About where we’re going to go with the rotation.”

Boston is headed to Cleveland for a brief three-game road trip. Eduardo Rodriguez and Chris Sale will pitch the first two games of the series. It's anyone's guess right now who will pitch the third game.
