The problem was, he served up a three-run homer in the top of the first, and then a two-run shot in the top of the sixth to put the Red Sox in a hole the offense couldn't dig out of as Boston fell 12-4 at Fenway Park.

Juston Upton did the damage in the first inning, with Mike Trout doing the honors in the sixth. For Trout, it was his first career Fenway home run.

Darwinzon Hernandez and Hector Velazquez didn't help, allowing seven runs in two combined innings on the mound.

Porcello (pictured) has now allowed 25 home runs in 2019, with 18 of them coming in the first inning.

Mookie Betts and Brock Holt each had two hits in the loss while Sam Travis drove in a pair of runs.

The Rays won, pushing the Red Sox seven games back in the Wild Card standings.
