Red Sox look to bounce back with Beckett on the mound tonight

The Sox are looking for another solid performance from Josh Beckett tonight as they play the second of a three game set against the Rays at Tropicana Field at 7:10pm est. Toeing the mound for the Rays will be Jeremy Hellickson who is 7-4 with a 3.03 ERA this season. Beckett is 5-2 with a microscopic 2.06 ERA and looks to build on his last outing where he went seven innings only giving up two earned runs in a win against the Yankees June 9th. Last night James Shields went the distance scattering five hits while cooling the Sox red hot bats throwing a complete game shut out. The Sox are looking to get those bats going again against Hellickson who had his worst outing of the season last time out at the Orioles giving up five earned in 5.2 innings on June 10th. With a win tonight, the Sox would earn their 40th win of the season, which would be more than any other American League team and only one back for the most wins in baseball. The Phillies are sitting at 41 wins right now.
Worth Noting
Adrian Gonzalez continued his hot hitting last night tallying three of the five RedSox hits going three for four.
