Early Hole Sinks Sox - Blue Jays Win 7-4

Admit it. After another poor start by a Red Sox pitcher, you're ready to start pounding on that button. Andrew Miller gave up 4 runs in the 2nd inning, putting Boston in an early hole the offense simply couldn't dig itself out of. The end result was the team's third loss in its last four games and the third straight series it's dropped.

It was the second straight poor outing for Miller whose record dropped to 6-7. Jacoby Ellsbury had a pair of hits including his41st double of the season. Marco Scutaro had 3; Jason Varitek hit his 11th home run of the season.

Even if you're not ready to push the panic button, you might want to keep it handy - John Lackey goes for Boston Friday night against the Rays.
