Hohler Did Not Rule Out Sox Owners as Sources

A quick update to this post:

One of John Henry's main arguments, stated two or three times during his appearance on 98.5, was that Globe reporter Bob Hohler has said, publicly, that Red Sox upper management was not one of his sources for last week's story.

According to several sources, Hohler has not made any such comments. Which makes sense -- when one uses anonymous sources, it's counterproductive to rule out some people, because that points at others by implication.

Meanwhile, Jon Lester has acknowledged some beer, and some Popeye's in the clubhouse. But it's not why they lost, he said.
