Target Acquired. Commence Wooing

Appearing on WEEI this morning, "Chicago sports media personality" Tom Shaer said Theo is the Cub's "no. 1 target."

"They’re doing what they have to do to try to make that happen," Shaer said of the Cubs bringing in Epstein. "But they’re fully prepared if that doesn’t happen. … I think they would be a fantastic match. I really do."

Personally I wouldn't want to hear target and Chicago in the same sentence, but we shall see.

UPDATE: And there's more. Buster Olney and Bill Simmons both think Theo will go if he gets a "Godfather" offer (one he can't refuse). A lot of gangster talk around a baseball deal.
