Look, the White Star Line Is Hiring

Peter Abraham has the latest. It looks like Sveum is headed to the Cubs. "Reopen the search" is one phrase being used. So I guess they weren't that enthused about the other guys.

Doesn't anyone want this great opportunity? The deck chairs alone should appeal to a good candidate.

Pros:

- Big payroll (big check for the manager too).
- Friendly -- um -- make that enthusiastic fan base.
- Less historical baggage than usual.

Cons:
- Big egos on that big payroll. Upper management not exactly shy either.
- Insane fan base.
- Less weighty (no pun intended) but much more recent baggage.

Hmm ... manager by committee? How about a Manager for a Day fan promo?
