Options
Tim Wakefield will make a decision on whether to play in 2012 this weekend.
His agent says "he has some options" in a widely cited piece by Scott Lauber of the Herald.
I do believe Wake has options, but he made $2 million last year (his salary peaked in 2005), and he is 45, so I'm wondering if his options outside Boston will be worth pursuing. His agent might be referring to broadcast jobs, or even coaching.
