Bobby V agrees: What Curt Schilling thinks doesn't matter
From: ESPN Boston
Curt Schilling made a conscious choice about five years ago that he was going to try and be a shit stirrer in the media. He used to constantly complain about the media scrutiny, but now he's aligning himself with the likes of Colin Cowherd. The same Colin Cowherd who has made a career of hurling shit against the walls and seeing what sticks. The same Colin Cowherd who once went as far as to call John Wall unintelligent because he liked to do "The Dougie" before games.
I used to love Curt Schilling, and you can't help but respect what the guy did for the Red Sox. But long gone are the days where I would hang a picture of the bloody sock above my bed. Now Schilling is just an overweight mouth piece plugged in to the pipeline of bullshit that ESPN spits out on a 24 hour revolving schedule.
Hopefully, we can all look forward to the ESPN2 show that is certainly in the works where Skip Bayless, Colin Cowherd, Stephen A. Smith and Curt Schilling sit around and see who can yell the loudest about race, faith, politics or any other topic that they feel will get simple minded people to believe that they are credible sources on anything other than their own miniscule dick size.
It's truly amazing that Schilling can get a word out with all those calories he must smash on a daily basis. Maybe mix in a jog or some crunches, anything really. But please just shut up and give your perspective as a former player, Curt. We don't need your musings on the sentiments of a team that you have no pull with anymore. Stick to your video game company.
FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Boston Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine apparently isn't impressed with the astuteness of ESPN analyst Curt Schilling. Reiterating an opinion he's espoused over the last week or so, Schilling said Monday he doesn't think Valentine is the right guy to lead the Red Sox, predicting a rocky road if things don't start well in the regular season...I'm glad Bobby V appears to echo my sentiments on Schillings place in the media. When asked about whether about the reports by Schilling that there was dissention in the clubhouse, Bobby said,
"I just consider the source when I read, hear stuff like that,"Touche, Bobby.
