Here's hoping that Josh Beckett''s thumb gets another look before he gets the ball tomorrow. Something was wrong in his first start. Bobby V said "not much of an injury" when it first came up, but let's get a second opinion.

Tangentially, I read once that thumbs down from the Emperor meant, "Let the guy live," whereas thumbs up meant, "Go ahead, kill him." Ya gotta love the Romans. They were nasty, but at least they had fun at it.
