According to numerous reports, the Sox have set their sights on
Adam LaRoche, the Nationals first baseman and "by far the most desirable free agent first baseman remaining," according to
Adam Kilgore in the
Washington Post.
LaRoche is 33 and coming off one of the best years of his career.
This appears to hinge on the still-not-done Mike Napoli deal. Like so many things, it seems.
