Jackie Bradley, Jr will start in tomorrow's Opening Day game versus the New York Yankees |
Congratulations to Jackie Bradley Jr, who was finally told today that he would make the roster as a member of the 2013 Boston Red Sox. As a bonus, the Red Sox will start Bradley in left field tomorrow versus the New York Yankees and left-handed pitcher C.C. Sabathia. Bradley will have his hands full, but he is ready for the challenge.
I'm pretty excited. I think it really hasn't hit me yet. Until my name's called, then I'm pretty sure I'll probably go numb a little bit. It's great. It's an honor and I can't wait.
Manager John Farrell cut right to the chase when talking about Bradley's promotion.
He's earned that spot on the roster.
Based on information given by the Red Sox, Jackie Bradley would be the youngest Opening Day left field starter for the Red Sox since Yaz began the season in 1961.Bradley will wear #44. Jackie Bradley, always the class act, took to twitter to reach out to his fans and supporters.
