3 Stars of the game, Game 2
The Boston Red Sox are playing exceptional baseball right now against the Yankees. Im pretty sure that we could not have asked for a better 2 games from this team. The pitching has been fantastic and the hitting has been great as well. The team is certainly not making it easy for me to pick only 3 of them to be stars after each game. With the team performing great currently I was still able to pick the 3 stars tonight and they were:
3rd Star- Shane Victorino
Victornio played great tonight, he was 2-5 with an RBI and a run scored. He also stole a base which lead to him scoring on a single by Jackie Bradley Jr. shortly after the steal.
2nd Star- Daniel Nava
Nava who was the DH for the team tonight and hit in the 2 spot in the lineup. This was proven to be a fantastic decision by manager John Farrell because Nava went 2-3 with a walk. He also had an RBI and scored a run.
1st Star- Clay Buchholz
Buchholz was fantastic tonight, performing just like we needed him to silence the Yankee bats. In 7 innings he gave up 6 hits and 1 run. He struck out 4 and walked 2. He induced 7 ground ball outs and 10 fly outs in his outing. This was a fantastic outing by Buchholz who deserved the win he was awarded.
Im sure that there could have been a few different players in any of these star roles of the game, if you disagree at all comment down below or on twitter.
