3 Stars of the game, Game 4 vs Toronto
Tonight the Boston Red Sox played a great game to grind out a gritty win in Toronto. In a back and forth game featuring 4 home runs, 2 by Toronto and 1 by the Sox. Both teams had great performances and the game set perfectly for the teams to play the remainder of their series, both games at 1:05 on Saturday and Sunday. The Sox are looking fantastic right now, this is the team that I would like to see all season long, this team right now could win the AL East. With this being said here are your 3 stars of the game.
3rd Star: Pedro Ciriaco
Ciriaco came off of the bench tonight to play shortstop when Iglesias went out with an injury, now known to be a bruised arm. In 4 at bats Ciriaco went 2-4 with 1 RBI, his first of the year. He also had a great defensive game, making multiple plays to help the team win.
2nd Star: Jose Reyes
Reyes had an amazing game at the plate, going 4-5 with 2 doubles a home run 2 RBI's and a run scored. Without Reyes the Blue Jays would not have even been in the game he was one of their biggest offensive contributors.
1st Star: Will Middlebrooks
Middlebrooks was fantastic tonight, not only did he hit a home run in the top of the ninth inning to add an insurance run for the Sox but he also went 2-5 on the night. He also started a double play to end the bottom of the first inning.
This team is playing great, I certainly was not expecting them to be 3-1 after their first 4 games. If you have any other players that you think should have made the 3 stars tonight let me know in the comments below.
