3 Stars of the game: Game 8

Well its time to start rewriting this article, I was halfway through a different 3 stars before Hanrahan decided to mess this game up. In a game that will be remembered more for the fact that it ended Fenway Parks sellout streak instead of the score it would have been nice to have it end on a happier note, but alas trouble for Hanrahan didn't allow this. These are the 3 stars of the game:
Star 3: Jarrod Saltalamacchia
There were a few bright spots for the Red Sox tonight, Salty hit his first home run of the season in the 6th inning, the later part of back to back homers. Salty went 3-4 with 2 RBI's and 1 run scored tonight.
Star 2: Chris Davis
Just when you thought that the Red Sox were going to win the game Chris Davis stepped to the plate. Even when he was at the plate you thought the Sox were going to win, he was 0-3 on the night but he proved that he was due and punished the Sox by starting the 9th inning rally. Davis went 1-4 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored.
Star 1: Manny Machado
Machado did the real damage tonight to the Sox. He was at the plate for the passed ball that tied the game then hit the 3 run homer over the monster to take the lead and give Hanrahan the loss. Machado was 1-5 on the night with 3 RBI's and 1 run scored.
