3 stars of the game: Game 32
If you went to bed early last night you missed an amazing finish to the Red Sox game. After a blown save by Joel Hanrahan (shocker) the Red Sox and Twins battled it out in extra innings before Stephen Drew allowed Dirty Water to be blared over the PA system and fans to scramble to get on the T before the last train left. The win was an important one for the Red Sox, while Buchholz did not get his 7th win on the season the win snaps a 3 game losing streak. Here are your 3 stars of the game:
Star 3: Dustin Pedroia.
Pedroia had a great game at the plate for the Sox going 3-5 on the night. He had 1 RBI and scored a run, both of these happening on his 8th inning home run to take the lead at the time.
Star 2: Shane Victorino
Victorino finally hit his first home run in a Red Sox uniform with a solo shot in the 4th inning. He went 3-5 with 1 RBI and scored 2 of the Red Sox runs.
Star 1: Stephen Drew
Could anyone else be the star of the game other than Drew? Nope, I think not. Not only did Drew go 4-5 with 3 RBI's and a run scored but Drew ended the game in the bottom of the 11th inning with a double to the base of the monster.
Drew is trying really hard to to make Red Sox Nation forget about his brother J.D. and recently has been doing a very good job. Did you stay up to watch the Sox walk off last night? Let me know in the comments below or on twitter @ryanthahawaiian.
