Andrew Bailey to undergo MRI
Andrew Bailey will have an MRI on his right bicep when the Red Sox return to Boston on Monday.Bailey first felt the injury on April 28 while pitching against the Astros, and hasn't pitched since. Sox skipper John Farrell commented on his pitcher's injury today;
"He's got an exam scheduled for tomorrow morning as much to give him some peace of mind in what he's dealing with, because it's in that last 10 percent of intensity where he feels some of the symptoms he's going through. For our own information and his peace of mind, we've got to get that looked at thoroughly."Hopefully the injury to Bailey is nothing serious and he can avoid a trip to the disabled list. Luckily for the Red Sox, their bullpen has been strong and with the return of Joel Hanrahan they should be able to weather the storm if Bailey needs more time to recover. Check back tomorrow afternoon for further updates on Bailey's ailing bicep once the results of his MRI are out.
