Big Papi: Where's my glove at?

It looks like David Ortiz will get at least one game at first base this week. With interleague play and no DH, Big Papi will grab his first baseman's mitt for the first time in two years and take to the field either Wednesday or Thursday.

Ortiz got some work in this afternoon.

The Red Sox begin an interleague series against the Philadelphia Phillies tonight at Fenway Park. They then travel to Philly and lose the DH Wednesday and Thursday.

Manager John Farrell will have to do some roster shuffling to keep the bats of Mike Napoli and Ortiz fresh and in the line-up.

Farrell on interleague play,"[it's] a pretty distinct disadvantage. Our team isn't built like a National League team." Farrell added, "That's not to make an excuse; that's just to note that there are two different styles of play and teams are built to reflect that style."

Ortiz has played first base just 19 times since 2009 with just one error.
