A bloop single by Chris Davis off Red Sox reliever Alex Wilson in the bottom of the thirteenth inning pushed the Orioles past Boston in the opening game of a four-game series at Camden Yards.
Felix Doubront started for the Red Sox. He lasted just 4.2 innings giving up four runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out five. The Orioles scored three in the bottom of the third on four hits including Danny Valencia's fourth home run of the year.
Boston got two runs back on back-to-back home runs in the top of the fourth inning by David Ortiz (pictured) and Mike Carp.
The Red Sox tied the game in the top of the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Stephen Drew that just missed being a grand slam, and an RBI groundout by Jacoby Ellsbury.
