Yesterday, Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia officially signed an 8-year, $110 million contract extension. Immediately following the pen hitting paper, all of Red Sox Nation had a spontaneous mental dance party.
The reason is simple: It looks as though Pedroia will be a Red Sox for life, and that's a great thing for the organization.
