Red Sox flagship station NESN has announced that broadcaster Jerry Remy will not be returning for the this weeks three-game series against the Orioles at Fenway Park.
Dennis Eckersley will continue to fill-in with Don Orsillo.
Remy has been out since Aug. 16, the day when Remy’s son, Jared, was charged with murdering his girlfriend. Jared Remy is being held without bail.
A NESN spokesman said it's unclear whether Remy will return to the booth this season.
