Jacoby Ellsbury not likely to end up in Seattle

It seems as though Jacoby Ellsbury may have one less suitor in what will most likely end up being an all-out bidding war for the All-Star centerfielder. According to NESN, ESPN.com’s Jerry Crasnick said that the Seattle Mariners’ interest in Ellsbury has been “overblown.” Apparently, Carlos Beltran, Nelson Cruz, Kendrys Morales, and Jhonny Peralta are all ahead of Ellsbury on the list of free agents the Mariners want to acquire.
Ellsbury is still on their radar, but other teams, like the Yankees, Nationals, and Red Sox, are more likely to put more energy into getting him. Wherever he goes though, he’s sure to get a huge contract. NESN reported that agent Scott Boras is looking for something similar to Carl Crawford’s seven-year $142 million deal for Ellsbury.

#Mariners more immersed in the Beltran-Peralta-Kendry Morales market than Jacoby Ellsbury at this point.

#Mariners are ambitious: Heard they'd like to find a way to add both Nelson Cruz and Carlos Beltran. Hey, they're trying.

If what I've heard here is accurate, the #mariners reported interest in Jacoby Ellsbury has been overblown.
