The Red Sox Duck Boat parade took place on Saturday morning at 10am. What you may have overlooked was the fact that one of those boats made a left turn at the end of the parade, and headed directly to Logan Airport.

The boat in question happened to be the one with Matt Thornton on it as the Red Sox declined to pickup Thornton's $6 million option for 2014.

It's been a lackluster year for Matt Thornton since joining the Red Sox in early July. The left-handed specialist was traded from the White Sox to the Red Sox and posted a 3.52 ERA with 5 walks, 9 strikeouts in 15.1 innings pitched.
