Cuz Every Little Thumbs Gonna Be Alright

Shane Victorino, Red Sox right fielder, underwent thumb surgery yesterday.

Officially it is labeled nerve release surgery and he is expected to be ready to join Spring Training on schedule.

He posted a nice shot on Twitter of his hand in bandages, but the smile is big and bright as always.

His thumb issues limited him towards the end of the postseason, but should not be of concern to the Red Sox as a complete recovery is expected.

On a side note, credit where credit is due for the title of this article. Great reaction by Chris Cotillo.
