Mike Napoli's solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning broke a 1-1 tie and powered the Red Sox to a 2-1 win over the Kansas City Royals at Fenway Park on Saturday night. It was Boston's third straight win and the sixth in their last seven games.

Rubby De La Rosa went seven innings to pick up his third win of the season. He gave up one run on five hits and four walks; he struck out a pair.

Koji Uehara pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning for his twentieth save of the season.

Kansas City took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Omar Infante. Boston tied the game in the bottom of the fourth when Napoli scored on an infield error.

The game marked the return of Shane Victorino from the disabled list. He had a single in three trips to the plate.
