Trade Deadline Winners?

The trade deadline has come and gone and now trades are being graded. Everyone will have their own opinion on who made the best trades, or who "won" the 2014 trade deadline. Yet as you grade your teams trade ask yourself if you can truly deem your team a winner of the trade deadline before the new team has played together. I often find teams being deemed winners of the trade deadline performing poorly, so it is my opinion that the winners of the trade deadline are determined in October, not the last day of July
Look at last year for example, the Red Sox made a trade for Jake Peavy, a trade that did not get much national media attention yet when Peavy was pitching in the World Series the announcers often talked about the trade involving Peavy. So I ask you this can one determine a trade deadline winner on July 31st? People have already claimed that the Oakland A's and Detroit Tigers were the big winners this trade deadline, but if either team misses the playoffs would they really still be considered deadline day winners?
What do you think about deadline day, would you consider the Red Sox winners? Leave your answer in the comments section below or let me know on twitter.
