Koji Uehara allowed two solo home runs in the bottom of the 9th inning - one to Mark Teixeira and another to Chase Headley - as the Yankees came from behind to beat the Red Sox 5-4 at Yankee Stadium.
All four Boston runs came via the long ball. David Ortiz homered twice and Brock Holt added one, all off Yankee starting pitcher Chris Capuano.
Brandon Workman started for Boston, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five.
The win keeps New York's slim playoff hopes alive.
