We know David Ortiz can play in October, but now Sox fans can watch David Ortiz as a guest analyst for the Fall Classic. According to NESN, Fox will be adding Big Papi to their pregame and postgame coverage for the 1st 2 games of World Series, which starts tomorrow.

According to NESN, Ortiz will be joining Nick Swisher, ex-teammate Gape Kapler, and Hall of Famer Frank Thomas in Kansas City for the 1st 2 games.

Personally, I think Ortiz will be great - his personality is handmade for TV and he's been around the block a few times, with 3 championship rings, so he can offer good insights into the players mindset going into the World Series. If anything, it gives Sox fans a good reason to watch at least the pregame and postgame show for the 1st 2 games. It should be fun to see Papi as a guest analyst - like I mentioned above, Papi has the right personality and the World Series know-how to be a great analyst and I'm looking forward to it.

First pitch is tomorrow at 8:07 ET.
