Koji Uehara was a shut-down reliever and closer for most of his time here, until he hit a rough patch towards the end of the 2014 season. He finished last year with a 2.52 ERA in 64 appearances, up from a 1.09 ERA in 2013. Time will tell if he re-discover his best form, but the Red Sox are obviously banking on that by giving Koji $18 million.
