Recap - Red Sox fall to Orioles 4-1

The Baltimore Orioles used a pair of 2-run innings to beat the Red Sox 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at Fenway Park. The loss evened the series 1-1.

The Orioles plated 2 runs off Boston starter Clay Buchholz (pictured) in the top of the 4th inning on an RBI ground out by Manny Machado and an RBI single by Caleb Joseph.

Chris Davis extended the lead to 4-1 with his 2nd home run of the season in the top of the 9th inning off reliever Robbie Ross Jr.

Buchholz went 6 innings, charged with 2 Baltimore runs on 11 hits and 1 walk. He struck out 8, throwing 69 of his 102 pitches for strikes.

David Ortiz and Brock Holt each had 3 hits for Boston. The lone Red Sox run was driven in by Pablo Sandoval in the bottom of the 6th on a fielding error by Orioles pitcher Chris Tillman.
