The Red Sox today recalled the knuckleballer Steven Wright from Triple-A Pawtucket and optioned Heath Hembree to the same team. After making the Major League team in Spring Training, Steven Wright made one appearance for the Red Sox and it was during the marathonic game against the Yankees. The knuckleballer pitched five innings in relief and allowed two runs.

In the other hand, Hembree was a gas can in his season debut on Sunday. He allowed six earned runs on six hits and 1 1/3 innings of relief.
