According to a report by CBS Sports and the Red Sox twitter account, the Red Sox have relieved Juan Nieves of his duties after a slow start from the pitching staff, to say the least. Right now, the Red Sox are 29th out of 30 teams in team ERA (4.86) and starters ERA (5.54).

Nieves joined the Red Sox prior to 2013 from the Chicago White Sox, and helped the Red Sox win their 3rd championship in a decade. No word on who is named as a replacement yet, but we'll keep you posted.
