Former Red Sox infielder Pedro Ciriaco had a pair of game-tying hits and old nemesis Nick Markakis put the Braves ahead for good in the seventh inning as Atlanta beat Boston 5-2 Wednesday night.

Junichi Tazawa took the loss in relief. Joe Kelly (pictured) started and pitched two batters into the sixth inning. He allowed two runs on five hits and three walks; he also struck out three.

Brock Holt and Pablo Sandoval each had two hits in the loss. Mike Napoli drilled his tenth home run of the year. Kelly drove in a run with an infield hit.

Dustin Pedroia was back in the lineup for Boston. He was hitless in five at bats.
