Prized rookie Brian Johnson (pictured) made his MLB debut Tuesday night but was unable to stop the bleeding as the Red Sox dropped their 6th in a row, losing to the Astros 8-3 in Houston.

Johnson, ranked among the top prospects in the Red Sox organization, showed promise but ultimately lasted just 4.2 innings giving up four runs on three hits and four walks. He retired eight in a row at one point and struck out the side in the third showing an impressive curve ball.

Boston took an early 3-1 lead in the third inning on a two-RBI double by Mookie Betts and a run-scoring single by Xander Bogaerts.

Bogaerts and Alejandro De Aza each had two hits for the Sox.
