Admit it. You're thinking they may never win another game this season.
The Red Sox losing streak reached eight games as they fell to the Astros 4-3 on a walk-off home run by Jose Altuve in the bottom of the ninth inning off reliever Craig Breslow.
The Red Sox had leads of 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 after rallying for two runs in the top of the eighth inning. Mike Napoli (pictured) and David Ortiz both went deep for Boston. For Ortiz it was the 17th of the season and the 483rd of his career. He also had an RBI double.
Napoli had three hits; it was his highest single-game hit total since April 25.
Wade Miley pitched well for Boston going six innings. He allowed just one run on four hits and five walks while striking out four.
