The Red Sox finished their 2015 with a 3-1 loss to the Indians at Progressive Field in Cleveland on Sunday afternoon.
Boston finished last in the American League East for the second year in a row and the third time in four seasons.
David Ortiz gave Boston an early 1-0 lead with an RBI double in the top of the first inning, driving in Xander Bogaerts. It would prove to be the final run scored by the Red Sox in 2015.
Rick Porcello (pictured) took the loss. He struck out seven but allowed ten hits and a walk, and an errant pickoff throw accounted for one of the Cleveland runs.
Boston managed just seven hits; Jackie Bradley Jr. had two to lead the team.
Immediately following the game, the players came out of the dugout and saluted outgoing NESN broadcaster Don Orsillo in his final game.
