Big Papi's two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning off Yankees reliever Dellin Betances powered the Red Sox to a 4-2 win at Fenway Park on Friday night.

Koji Uehara was the winner in relief; Craig Kimbrel recorded his seventh save with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

New York took an early 1-0 lead in the second inning on Alex Rodriguez's solo home run. The Yankees padded the lead in the fifth on an RBI single by Brett Gardner.

Boston tied the score in the bottom of the seventh on a two-run scoring double by Jackie Bradley Jr.

Henry Owens started for the Red Sox. He went six innings allowing two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out six.

Matt Barnes, Uehara and Kimbrel combined for three perfect innings of relief.
